SCTG Audition

                  Advice

First things first

EVERY person who auditions is accepted into the company,

regardless of talent or… anything.

Overview

Audition for our fall play involves reading sides from the actual plays. Spring auditions (usually early February) require the actor to offer a brief singing and/or dancing presentation if they wish to sing or dance in the play. If not, there are plenty of non-singing and non-dancing roles.

Be prepared for Auditions!

If you wish to sing in a play

You will be expected to sing an acapella song (without music) of your choice at auditions. You will also read sides (script pages) from a scene in the play.

Pro tip: singing with a Big Voice and Presence at auditions is the fastest track to big roles.

If you wish to dance in the play

You will be expected to perform a brief dance routine of your choice at auditions. (Please bring your own playback – iPhone, portable speaker, etc.). You will also read sides (script pages) from a scene in the play.

If you wish to only act in the play

Don’t worry, you’ll read sides (script pages) from a scene in the show.
