Auditions and Registration

Age range is 8 and older. No exceptions.

Actors must commit to the production once we begin rehearsals. Dropping out causes nightmares in re-casting and causes a ripple effect of headaches for actors, families and our staff. So if you commit, we expect you to stay committed.

Performance dates are set for two weekends: Dec 7/8/9 and Dec 14/15/16

Two one-acts will play in the evening performances. All four will play on Sundays.
The one-acts have been written with a page limit (as promised!) and will run short.
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will play on Sundays (around 4pm).
We don’t expect volunteers to work the entire Sunday - shifts will be split between the one-acts and Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.

This is how the performance schedule will likely be set:

Friday - Guardian / The Last Christmas
Saturday - Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Sunday - Until Eden / Let’s Think of a Game to Play / Guardian / The Last Christmas / Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Friday - Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Saturday - Let’s Think of a Game to Play / Until Eden
Sunday - Guardian / Let’s Think of a Game to Play / Guardian / The Last Christmas / Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

The plays are designed to cast one actor in one play with no double-casting.
This means you are committing to all performances.
Look at the schedule…one-act actors will have three off nights, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof actors will have two off-nights.

If you have a conflict with one of the dates PLEASE TELL US BEFORE WE CAST THE PLAY.
It’s a horror show to learn you can’t make a date and then shuffle around kids, looking for someone to cover that night. Please don’t put us in that position.

There will a mandatory SCTG Parent Orientation on Sunday, September 9th at 2pm. Parents old and new are expected to attend.

This parent orientation is a place where you can bring your comments, concerns and questions. It is intended as a community meeting and, with time constrains, a place to discuss about our community of parents of young writers and actors.

Registration fee is $550.
The fee includes 10 performance tickets valued at $200 ($20 each).
The idea is for you to sell the tickets and recoup $200, making your actual reg fee $350.
$50 second child discount.
$50 discount for each new student you refer who joins and pays a registration fee.
Recommend two new students and you get $100 discount, etc…
